CAN Carbonfilter 100 cm / BFT 100 / 1400m3
Can-Filters is the market leader in air filtration and innovation.Pelletized Activated Charcoal
We use coal as the basic material for the production of our activated carbon. There are two options to activate the basic material, namely:
Chemical activation
This involves heating the base material to temperatures between 400 and 700ºC, depending on the intended end result. Phosphoric acid and/or zinc chloride are added during heating. This method of activation means that the activated carbon will mainly have large (macro) pores, making it excellent for separating colors from liquids.
Thermal activation
With thermal activation, the base product is brought to temperatures higher than 900ºC. To prevent the material from burning (the flash point of coal is 570ºC), dry steam is added. This creates a semi-finished product that is very porous and has small (meso) to very small (micro) pores.
Sifting, grinding, pressing
The semi-finished product can then be sieved, ground or pressed, depending on the final application.
CAN Filters B.V. has been specialized in the design, development and production of filters for more than 20 years and is therefore the market leader in this field. This filter can be used both horizontally and vertically.
